This week we have a beautiful new praise song called "Jesus Calls Us". I composed the music on my guitar and created the midi file. My friends Larry Holder and Steve Israel helped to complete it with lyrics, music and arrangement. I have a question... I believe that God inspires us to write these songs. The question is, "Why do some of the songs seem to be better than others?". Why doesn't God make them all perfect? I have an idea what the answer is, but I would like to hear from you. This song in particular caused me to ask this question. In addition to the midi file, I have created a Realaudio file. It is located at: http://songsofpraise.org/realaudio/calls.ram To help conserve bandwidth, I will also list the song page url: http://songsofpraise.org/calls.htm - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Here are the lyrics to "Jesus Calls Us" (Verse 1) Jesus calls us all to be Shining for the world to see. Reflections of His holy light Come to drive away the night. (Chorus) Jesus, Wonderful Savior Give me a heart that is faithful and true. All I have I will give till All that I have I have given to You. (Verse 2) Jesus calls us to a life Free of anger, free of strife Live in peace with everyone, Point them to God's holy Son. (Repeat Chorus) (Verse 3) Jesus calls us to His side Where we hear His humble cry: "Father give to me their sin, Let Your children enter in." (Repeat Chorus) (Bridge and Modulation) O, how can I ever thank Him For all that He's done for me And how much more can I praise Him For setting me free? (Verse 4) Jesus, help us all to be Light for all the world to see. Ever faithful to the call, Sharing how You died for all. (Repeat Chorus Twice) (Ending) All I have I will give till All that I have I have given to You.
