October 2000
Yosemite Valley
We drove into Yosemite National Park on Monday afternoon (October 9th) and stayed for 4 days.
Later on, we heard that this is the last year people will be able to drive into the park. Starting next year, they will park outside the park and take a shuttle bus in.

Nathaniel and Hollis standing on a bear proof locker at Camp Curry. We had to keep all of our food in these lockers. Over 1000 cars are broken into by bears each year in the park.
