Weary World

I wrote this song as I looked upon the turmoil and confusion and unhappiness that fills peoples hearts because they did not love and serve God. This led, not only to the troubles in this world, but to the troubles of the individual heart that need to know the reality of God's salvation. - Van Wood, March 13, 2024

down across the weary years.
Trouble meets in your streets.
Crime and ruin everywhere,
Getting worse and still men curse
the day that they were born here.
Where will it end Weary World?

God is full of love,
He still cares and hears your prayers
from His mighty throne above.
Broken homes He will mend,
and the Holy Spirit send,
Great and small on Him call;
there’s still time to change it all.

some men do not know,
Jesus came to take our blame
and the way to heaven show.
Make us right in God’s sight,
sons of God to be,
Spread the news, and let men choose
the way of life that sets us free.
